Dealing with life’s ups and downs

TunnelHow do you deal with them?  Do you face your issues head on or do you bury your head in the sand? Sadly I’ve seen this with my family, with myself and its not the way to go…………

One thing I’ve noticed is when we take our problems and sweep them under the rug they don’t go away, in fact, they begin to fester until it gets to the point either you or the situation explodes.

Finding a healthier and more meaningful way of dealing with life’s obstacles is the only way to go. We all have struggles, whether it be your health, finances, a bad relationship, difficult boss….life has a way of slapping us in the face–bringing us back to reality.

Growing up I witnessed a lot of negative behavior and unhealthy means of dealing with the aforementioned issues.  Being the unwilling witness spurred me into action…into leaving and that too isn’t a good way to resolve conflict:

“Life is not easy. We all have problems-even tragedies-to deal with, and luck has nothing to do with it. Bad luck is only the superstitious excuse for those who don’t have the wit to deal with the problems of life. ”
Joan Lowery Nixon, In The Face of Danger

You need to assert your goals, follow through with them..focus on what’s working.

Embrace life with a sense of purpose! Do not simply exist!!
