For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, “It might have been.”
John Greenleaf Whittier
Seems like pessimism runs amok in the human race. We continuously look back to “better times” a lost love or venture, mistakes made……
Constant regret is not living. It’s called “surviving,” “going through the motions,” perhaps even taking on a victim mentality. We all make mistakes and should learn from them. When you fall into this trap it seems like you are grieving…grieving for something frankly out of your control. And is that living? Truly living????
“We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.”
