“The difference between my darkness and your darkness is that I can look at my own badness in the face and accept its existence while you are busy covering your mirror with a white linen sheet. The difference between my sins and your sins is that when I sin I know I’m sinning while you have actually fallen prey to your own fabricated illusions. .”

I wonder at people who live their lives within a complex web of lies…are they ever afraid of getting caught? Of hurting the other person? Do they think they are better than others therefore the truth is really a matter of formality?
Many relationships are destroyed because either one or both partners play this game of chance (chancing that the other will not find out about their indiscretions).
And if you are caught up in such a relationship you need to ask yourself why you remain….are you a glutton for punishment? Hoping the person will change? Desperate to forsake loneliness?
Hypocrisy knows no boundaries, in relationships and every day living. We all lie once in a while…but if it becomes a habit, or simply part of your lifestyle….you need to take a deep look inside yourself and find out why you are trying to live such a fabricated life.
