Being “true” to yourself

God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.  ~William Shakespeare

Nothing irks me more than two-faced people. You know, the ones who say one thing but their actions betray what they really are:

F.A.K.E.

I have more respect for someone who is simply straight-forward, no frills, not deceitful about who and what they are.

I may not necessarily condone your lifestyle or choices but what I will respect is that you are true to yourself. Simply people who say what they mean, and mean what they say.

Those I cannot stand are people who are well, how should I put it….into self-gratification no matter the consequences–there’s no conscience…just emptiness.

I have witnessed far too many people caught up in a web of lies and deceit and eventually they are unable to function in a healthy/normal relationship and are unable to keep their lies straight.

These sorry souls bring in baggage from their past and transfer onto the person all the negative and toxic energy—-could be a friend, lover and sometimes even a relative and they jeopardize a good thing.

The point being, these people simply lead hollow unsatisfying lives, and are quite miserable.

Sure they may put on a smile to hide the pain but in all actuality they are torn up…going through the motions of life–jumping from one failed relationship to another, alienating their family, friends and coworkers while at the same time being caught up doing things that could most certainly spell trouble or worse.

The most exhausting thing in life is being insincere.  ~Anne Morrow Lindbergh

How they are able to function…GOD I have no clue.

Quit making life so damn complicated.!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember:

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.  ~e.e. cummings
