Learning to live

“If it’s never our fault, we can’t take responsibility for it. If we can’t take responsibility for it, we’ll always be its victim.”
Richard Bach

Sometimes it is difficult for me to imagine a person not living up to their fullest potential. Life is short and we have to make the best of it as we can.

I was never one to sit on my laurels and let life pass me by.

Sure a day or two of being a couch potato is fine but it isn’t living.

I was never  a slacker in life and cannot fathom how people can live this way.  I mean there are men and women out there who are capable of being contributing members to society but choose to let society or family take care of them. (Mind you I am talking about able-bodied people) not any one else.

It isn’t right to expect someone to take care of you 100% without you giving back in some way.  To me that’s utter foolishness and downright selfish.

NO ONE owes you ANYTHING in this life. You have to get out there and earn it. To think otherwise means you have taken on the victim mentality and that’s downright disgusting.  No one is a victim in life unless they are affected by something completely out of their control. And even then, a person should do their utmost to climb out of that hole and keep moving forward.

Life is tough but it’s also beautiful.

It’s simply what you make of it.
