Angry at Mother Nature. The Midwest is NOT the best place to be right now. Wednesday was quite the production. Tornado warnings all over town. Not sure what to make of the severe weather. Growing up in America’s heartland I am “used” to tornado activity however, never did I hear about these types of storms hitting urban areas. First was Sunset Hills and then the airport (living three miles near it….was a hairy experience) and finally poor Joplin…I cannot even fathom what they are going through right now. My heart goes out to them. I read on CNN some of the stories of the victims and families and am appalled at various comments left on the site regarding these people and to those of us who live in Tornado Alley.
NO PLACE is safe if it isn’t Mother Nature, it’s our own misdeeds (crime)…and what I want to know is where in the hell is the compassion for those afflicted by such devastation? Such trollish comments make it out like those of us who live here deserved what we got because we choose to live in a part of the USA that is afflicted by such severe weather. I guess compassion was one aspect of humanity left out of their DNA……
Tomorrow calls for more severe thunderstorms. Can we ask Mother Nature to take a break?
