Dare to dream

“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.”

This is my all time favorite quote.  I have seen the so-called dreamers of the day, those individuals who burn with this eternal fire to do great things.  They stand out from the average.  Instead of lamenting about the situation for which they find themselves in, they aspire to greatness. They make those necessary sacrifices to bring about the greater good in us all:

The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy. A man does what he must – in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures – and that is the basis of all morality.  jfk

There is only one God and He is God to all; therefore it is important that everyone is seen as equal before God. I’ve always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic. We believe our work should be our example to people. We have among us 475 souls – 30 families are Catholics and the rest are all Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs—all different religions. But they all come to our prayers. mother teresa

The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but reveal to them their own. benjamin disrael
