What is your calling?

Today is life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto.

Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.

————————Dale Carnegie

Do you have a passion?

Because if you do, or if you did do you live your life with your heart in it.  Are you discovering that elusive happiness or has it escaped you?

My calling was the military.                        vietnam-soldiers

It was simple….I didn’t have to agonize over my decision to join. We were a perfect fit.  When you were a child was there something which stood out from your interests, that made you crave to find a future within it?

I always had an affinity for history, military history, military strategy and finding a way to serve my country in an honorable manner.

For me, the soldiers who honor the uniform are today’s modern heroes…something we should never forget.

I cannot think of any other profession I would rather be in or work for.

So, tell me…………

What is your passion?

  1. my passion is a combination of beauty, fashion, photography, photoshop and writing about it.
I’d love to be a fashion editor or retoucher. Even a fashion ph0tographer. I can take really good pictures of my friends and make them look very different. I’ve always had that talent. I much prefer to be behind the lens. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of friends comfortable modeling-modestly…that is what i prefer anyways.. ahh, but i do like being a mom, I have a ton of pictures of my kids, but i don’t like putting them on the internet.

  2. I wish I had the knack of doing makeup etc. I was such a tomboy growing up. I didn’t start wearing makeup until my mid 20’s. I prefer to be behind the lens also. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
